Kodi is a standalone Operating system that you can install on any other OS, keeping it an application to use in your spare time. Since Kodi is also an open source OS, you can customize it as much as you want. From looks to some change in the hood can also be done. but for that, you need to have knowledge about the language it has been written in. Every OS has a Splash Screen and it appears when the program is loading. Don’t know about other programs, but you can change Kodi Splash Screen. Step 1: To Change Kodi Splash Screen, you need to have a PNG file with you, make sure it is a high-quality image, then save that file as Splash.png.

Step 2: Once this is done, proceed to the next step.

Step 3: Now, we need to change the original Splash.png file with our custom one.

Step 4: For that, navigate to:

  • If you are using a PC: c:/userusernamee/AppData/Roaming/Kodi/media
  • If you are using an Android: Open a File Manager/Device/Android/Data/org.xbmc.kodi/Files/.kodi/Media
  • You’ll see the original Splash Screen there, just change it with the original one.

Step 5: First Make a back-up of the original Splash Screen.

Step 6: Then copy and paste the Custom Splash Screen in that Directory or drag and drop it.

Step 7: If you don’t like what you see, copy back the original one in that same folder.

Step 8: You can use any picture you want and even use a Gif for that as well.

Step 9: But make sure not to mess way too much with your program.

How to Install Kodi 17 Krypton

Step1: Head over to link and download the latest Kodi 17 Krypton.

Step2: After downloading, install Kodi 17 Krypton.

Step 3: In order to install add-ons, you will have to enable Unknown Sources.

Step 4: To enable, open Settings > System Settings.

Step 5: Click on the Export button, you can find it on the bottom left side of the screen.

Step 6: On the left will be an options panel, click on Add-ons and then Enable Unknown Sources.

Step 7: A warning message will pop-up, click on Yes.
